Looks like there is a bug in the 2.9.5 version of xfsprogs with default options. I unmasked 2.9.7 and it has fixed it (I get 94GB total fs size). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. create 100GB patition 2. Run mkfs.xfs /dev/<partition> 3. Actual Results: Drastically reduced FS size!!!
