            <thetext>Booting with LiveCD for amd64 prompts several error messages, right after firmware hotplug, about files that cannot be written to in /etc/sysconfig directory.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:

Actual Results:  
 * Unpacking hotplug firmware ...                            [ ok ] 
 Can&apos;t write to &apos;/etc/sysconfig/netcard&apos;: No such file or directory 
 Can&apos;t write to &apos;/etc/sysconfig/netcard&apos;: No such file or directory 
 Can&apos;t write to &apos;/etc/sysconfig/mouse&apos;: No such file or directory 
 Can&apos;t write to &apos;/etc/sysconfig/mouse&apos;: No such file or directory 
 Can&apos;t write to &apos;/etc/sysconfig/mouse&apos;: No such file or directory 
 Can&apos;t write to &apos;/etc/sysconfig/sound&apos;: No such file or directory 
 Can&apos;t write to &apos;/etc/sysconfig/xserver&apos;: No such file or directory 
 * Not Loading APM Bios support ...


The system boots and can still be used.</thetext>

            <thetext>Strange.  We should be creating the directory in the ebuild.  Anyway, I need to fix this in the hwsetup ebuild and make sure that livecd-tools checks for the directory before continuing.

            <thetext>OK, I just added the keepdir to the ebuild.  I could have sworn that it was there, but it was not.  I&apos;m also adding a check to autoconfig in livecd-tools, so even if the ebuild is missing it, we&apos;ll create it before running hwsetup.</thetext>
