When attempting to cross-compile the kernel using a crossdev-setup environment, I end up x86_64-gentoo-linux-uclibc-gcc in my path, but no longer have /usr/i386-pc-linux-gnu/x86_64-gentoo-linux-uclibc/gcc-bin/4.2.2. The end result is the following which is easily fixed by appending to PATH instead of resetting it.
