            <thetext>app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-baselibs has nss_ldap and openldap libraries. For nss_ldap to really be useful, it should have pam_ldap.. What&apos;s the point of being able to look up your user account info if you can&apos;t authenticate was basically my rational.</thetext>

            <thetext>20071130 added to the tree.  Cardoe was given testing instructions on irc.

release:  up to you if you want to update the snapshot.  this version will go stable after I hear back from cardoe.  the only change was the addition of pam_ldap.
