<thetext>The current stable package net-print/hplip-1.7.4a-r2 leaves a file called dll.conf on /var/tmp/portage i.e. outside of the emerge folder.

This doesn't seem to do any harm except the fact that this could be a potential issue to other files and a security problem too.

Thanks

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge hplip
2. check /var/tmp/portage

Was the fix added to portage?

I'm having this problem again with the same version, i.e. latest stable, net-print/hplip-1.7.4a-r2.</thetext>

Yes, but in the new generation stuff only. I've just asked for stabilization for it.

            <thetext>OK thanks for the info.

Will leave it open until next stable comes out or this version is no longer needed in portage.

Please close the bug when the next stable comes out.

Thanks again for your time and support.</thetext>

<thetext>This should definitely be fixed with hplip-2.8.2 thanks partly to a fix I just committed in sane-backends.
