            <thetext>the pcf.gz were disregarded i think because they are pretty useless to most people in the standard config.

I think fontconfig 2.2 will do something about this, since more people asked for it. It will be out anytime soon now.

You can add them by adding &lt;dir&gt;/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi&lt;/dir&gt; to your local.conf for now.

Problem is that with disregarding some fontpaths we also disregard some possibly &apos;harmful&apos; fonts which cause ugly fonts for users. Adding the root path again will also inlude these fonts.</thetext>

            <thetext>ok in the new fontconfig (2.2.0) i&apos;m gonna add /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi and /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi to the basic setup as well. Altough they look pretty bad here.

As long as we can&apos;t exclude dirs, this should do.</thetext>
