<thetext>I installed qcad 1.5.1 using the usual

emerge qcad

and the resulting installation puts the fonts in

/usr/share/qcad/fonts

where qcad fails to find them, despite the statement in the qcad FAQ that:

*************************************************************
Q 7:

"I cannot create any texts and dimensions appear without a label. I can't see
any fonts in the text dialog."

A 7:

QCad cannot find the fonts on your system. Please find the fonts and copy them
to $HOME/.qcad/fonts/. They might be installed e.g. in /usr/X11R6/qcad/fonts or
/usr/share/qcad/fonts.
Newer QCad versions (1.5.x) should find the fonts in those paths.

**************************************************************

There is read permission right down the directory tree.

The emerge installation also omits the online manual. That's OK, because it is
easy to download from www.qcad.org, but I am at a loss to know where to put the
manual so that the "help" button will find it. If emerge included at least one
manual, it would be easy to install the ones for other langauges by following
example.
