However at this stage, I found the permissions on /var/run/puppet were wrong. They were: drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Aug 6 09:53 puppet They should be: drwxr-xr-x 2 puppet root 4096 Aug 6 09:53 puppet Following this, puppet started fine Reproducible: Always nakano@gentoo.org 2007-08-06 17:48:44 0000 Hello tom, just fixed in 0.22.4-r1/0.23.0-r1.
