The ebuild for app-text/gsview-4.8 has been in the trunk since oct 15 2006 I've been using this app for some time with no problems at all. Thus, I'm requesting the stabilization.. Thanks! Perhaps it should be made a dependency? app-text/gsview-4.8 is stable on AMD64 Emerges Fine, No Collisions, Worked with various PDF files. Searching text worked after installing the above mentioned pstotext.
