            <thetext>It compiles fine, passes the test and no collision here on AMD64.
It is already stable on 4 arches is it OK by you to mark it stable on the others?

Better use 1.2.18. 1.2.17 has a nasty bug in the configure-script which makes a recompilation of all apps necessary that link to libpng12.so. See also
