            <thetext>My linguas var is LINGUAS=&quot;de&quot;. After compiling openoffice-2.1 the entire help (writer/calc/impress etc.) is in english language, while with openoffice-2.0.* it was translated.

Steps to Reproduce:

2. merge openoffice-2.1
3. enter: oowriter2
4. click menu: Hilfe -&gt; Openoffice.org Hilfe / or press F1
Actual Results:  
help system is in english language

Expected Results:  
help system should be in german language

I was not shure with the l10n pack... the ebuild Changelog says:

*openoffice-2.1.0 (12 Jan 2007)

Added to that en_US and de users no longer have to download the l10n tarball, which spares another 72 MByte.

so I don&apos;t have OOo_2.1.0_src_l10n.tar.bz2 in my distfiles. That&apos;s why I thought it could be a problem with the build process.

I&apos;ve change the ebuild so that  LINGUAS=&quot;de&quot; has OOo_2.1.0_src_l10n.tar.bz2 as SRC_URI. Now (after 10h compiling) the help is also translated.

It seems to me you don&apos;t need the l10n for translated GUI (menues, etc.) but you need it for translated help.
