<thetext>Seems like PortageXS-0.20.20 doesn't know what is an alpha box:

# Failed test 'getArch returns a value: '
# in t/01_Core.t at line 91.
# Looks like you failed 1 test of 20.

Ian, sorry but I have no idea of perl, so I'm not able to provide a patch. Altough looking at the code, it seems to me like PortageXS is looking for ARCH variable in our make.defaults profile file. Well, alpha doesn't have it, don't know if this a bug or not.

Maybe kloeri or wolf can give us a bit of light about this. </thetext>

            <thetext>A little note:

alpha profile make.defaults *has* the ARCH variable in his top profile:
/default-linux/alpha/make.defaults

But not in the all its children:
e.g: /default-linux/alpha/2006.1/

Hope this helps, thanks goes to kloeri for the clarification.</thetext>
