<thetext>libSieve is my library. I was about to upload my ebuild. This one is better! Thanks Thilo!

Pleae bump it up to version 2.2.1 -- it's the stable release and the stable tarball does not include the website or the complete set of rfcs and drafts.

Let's get this thing into Portage, because I wrote libSieve and I use Gentoo :-)</thetext>

            <thetext>Hi Aaron, you're welcome.

i'll add libsieve as soon as there is something in the tree that uses it - doesn't really make sense to do it earlier, as it does not provide functionality on its own (does it?).

but perhaps you have something forthcoming?
i created the ebuild, because i needed it for a small project...

bumping is really not required, AFAICT - just rename the script upon download to libsieve-2.2.1.ebuild and off you go ;)

BTW, which category would you propose this belongs to? net-libs? dev-mail? mail-libs?

regards
bangert</thetext>

<thetext>Looks like mail-filter has a few libraries that libSieve would jive well with. I am trying to get an ebuild for DBMail into net-mail; DBMail uses libSieve for its Sieve script support.

What project are you using it for? May I link to you from the libSieve website?</thetext>

<thetext>my use of libsieve is in an early planning stage - i am not sure it will ever make it to the public.... we'll see.

mail-filter is a good suggestion. thanks.

attach your DBmail ebuild to a bug and give notice here. i'll make sure it will be there when you need it...</thetext>
