Worked around by:
commenting out the patch -

/usr/portage/gnome-base/nautilus/nautilus-2.16.0.ebuild
# epatch ${FILESDIR}/${PN}-2.14-idl_include.patch

emerge --digest -av nautilus

This enables nautilus to compile, but have yet to test functionality as the remaining 2.16 packages are still building.</thetext>

cd &quot;${S}&quot;/src
