The default "modern" theme is the modern.ini/.zip files stored under gui/theme in the source archive. That needs copying somewhere to the user's system, and then their configuration needs to point to it under "themes directory" in the options. It's quite possible this should be classed as an upstream problem, since the makefile doesn't install these for us, and the unix binary seems not to have any known default location where it can reliably find these resources when required... This patch installs the engine into /usr/share/games/scummvm/engines. I did some research on the scummvm mailing list and found out that there's no default search path, so the user has to add the path to his schummvm config file himself.
