It allows to monitor the cpu-temperatur and adds control for both fans of the system. The fan-trigger temperatures can be configured or the fans can be controlled manually. I suggest x11-plugins/i8krellm i8krellm depends on i8kutil (>= 1.5) which is currently still missing an ebuild.
