I had that several times, the last time when i had hardened-sources-2.6.16-r5 installed and wanted to install hardened-sources-2.6.14-r7. I&apos;ve added sys-kernel/linux-docs to portage, the first step of solving this bug.

Next step is to have it marked stable on the respective archs. When that is done we can remove the USE=doc code from kernel-2.eclass.
