<thetext>KSim does not show up in the Add New Panel menu, as it should, on kicker.
I don't know when this happened, and I've tried recompiling, which completes successfully, but still no sign of KSim.
I've also run kbuildsyscocoa, but no luck.</thetext>

            <thetext>Found the problem.
$KDEDIR/share/apps/kicker/extensions/ksim.desktop has the line
Hidden=True

Can this be patched either by Gentoo devs or upstream, as it seems a pretty stupid default.</thetext>

            <thetext>I can't see myself, but from http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?p=3358715#3358715
it looks like this has just been done for the meta package and not the main package?</thetext>
