            <thetext>To maintain a compatible ALSA version stable, alsa packages 1.0.11 have to be marked stable at the same time.

I know this version was just added to the tree (and the rc removed), but considering the old quantity of problems we had with stabling RCs, I find safer to mark stable a newly-added but tested final version than old RC versions that upstream doesn&apos;t support anymore. Beside, there aren&apos;t much changes since rc5, that solved already quite a bit of problems.

Hoping I don&apos;t have to re-explain the whole stuff behind the need of stabling ALSA with new kernels, I suggest you to test this as much as you can on stable system and open _immediately_ bugs if there&apos;s something strange.

            <thetext>Really sorry for asking this, alsa-jack wasn&apos;t updated and seems like nobody tried rc5 (that _should_ work).
This goes for not having a jack herd handling jack related packages (that are quite a bit specific).</thetext>
