eieio was merged upstream with speedbar and semantic to form cedet.  In portage, app-emacs/eieio + app-emacs/semantic + app-emacs/speedbar = app-emacs/cedet.  Since app-emacs/cedet is keyworded as stable as eieio etc., we&apos;re on the verge of removing eieio, semantic and speedbar.

Therefore, I checked the test scripts for the eieio included in app-emacs/cedet and found the problem exists there too.  I fixed app-emacs/cedet, but won&apos;t bother fixing app-emacs/eieio for the above reasons.
