<thetext>I have successfully compiled and installed http://iscsitarget.sf.net ver 0.4.13 from sources. I would suggest adding ~amd64 to the keywords (and also upgrade the ebuild from 0.4.12-r1 to 0.4.13) as it does compile on amd64.

<thetext>I have compiled successfully (iscsitarget ver 0.4.13) on kernel versions 2.6.15-gentoo-r1 and 2.6.15-gentoo-r4. I did not try the 0.4.12 that is in portage because of this note in the mailing list regarding iscsitarget and kernel src versions. http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_id=9708172&forum_id=40837. Since I see you are also in 2.6.15-r1 this might be the same issue and we need to get iscsitarget ver 0.4.13 in portage before adding the amd64 keyword? I can also send you my kernel config if you think it will help.</thetext>

<thetext>yes we need a working iscitarget in portage... i'm going to re-assign to the maintainer so we can work on this before we keyword it.</thetext>

            <thetext>it's fixed in CVS.
Note that you must use 2.6.15 for it, as the iscsitarget folk don't provide nice backwards patches like open-iscsi does.</thetext>
