<thetext>Can you please add a warning or even better, some check that the madwifi/wpa_supplicant versions match? Would've saved some time... appears I'm not the first to be caught out (http://madwifi.org/ticket/386). Thanks.</thetext>

<thetext>There is already a notice about this in wpa_supplicant (and hostapd). Would you like one in madwifi-driver as well?</thetext>

<thetext>Yes because the relationship goes both ways - if madwifi-driver gets version bumped and recompiled, the user needs to recompile wpa_supplicant.</thetext>
