(e.g.: gnustepweb, which i currently use) 
 
it is a showstopper if (some) developers have to manually tweak the ebuild (and the makefile) to get 
this important lib.</thetext>

we may look at their diff...
et voila, we should have a makefile for libwrap.so

            <thetext>A fresh day and a fresh start solved the problems I had with the compilation of the 
debian patch. New revision (r5) of tcp-wrappers has been commited with ~ 
markings. Please test. </thetext>

            <thetext>I&apos;ve masked -r5 in packages.mask becuse the .so files breaks things. I&apos;ll see if 
something can be done about it. </thetext>
