            <thetext>Since the &apos;fbi&apos; package is deprecated and no longer developed upstream, I&apos;d like to remove it from the tree, leaving only its successor &apos;fbida&apos; in place.

fbi is currently keyworded for many more arches than fbida is. I don&apos;t have access to the necessary hardware to test fbida on all these arches, but I suspect it will work just fine (its code is largely based on fbi).

When you get some time, please check whether it compiles on $your_arch. If it does, please keyword it appropriately, and if it does not, report it here. Thanks in advance.</thetext>

            <thetext>What if exiftran package was created from fbida? exiftran is the only tool I use from fbida (and the only binary installed if fbida is compiled with USE=-X.
Does anybody use other facilities of fbida? Maybe just renaming fbida to exiftran would suffice (as it is pretty hard to find exiftran in Gentoo, while in Ubuntu/Debian apt-get install exiftran is enough)?</thetext>
