<thetext>Version 1.7 simplifies the abilities added in 1.6 and makes them somewhat automatic.

It emerges fine using a renamed 1.5 with all except the new driver added

<thetext>Confirmed. I just renamed the ebuild, created a digest, and it compiled and
installed fine. I'm using it now :)

Helped me bypass some silly build error I was getting with 1.2 (which is strange
because I had already built 1.2, I was just rebuilding for a kernel upgrade.)</thetext>

<thetext>Ditto. Works great with renamed ebuild in portage overlay directory. Using now and for a few days.

Found while cleaning out /etc/portage. (It sure is nice to see so few ebuilds left in /etc/portage after a nice cleaning.)</thetext>
