Introduction

Gentoo uses the Bugzilla package to record the definitions for bugs, status changes for the bugs, and updates during the process of resolving bugs. Proper use of Bugzilla and recording accurate and complete data will simplify the task for the developer who must resolve the bug and make it easier for other users to find existing bug reports.

In the following sections, we will take you on a tour of the Gentoo Bugzilla Site and a tour of the guided format to enter a bug report.
