Bugzilla Bug 98867

A new official version of GIMPS has been released: it contains many performance 
improvements for Athlon, Athlon64 and Pentium 4 users. See  
http://mersenne.org/whatsnew.txt for the full list of improvements. 

For x86 the statically compiled version is necessary 
(ftp://mersenne.org/gimps/sprime2413.tar.gz), because the dinamically linked 
one is linked against c++ libraries only present in GCC 3.4.x, while amd64 can 
also use the dinamically linked version 
(ftp://mersenne.org/gimps/mprime2413.tar.gz)
