Description Patrick Lorazo 2005-07-08 11:02:57 UTC
After upgrading to splashutils-1.1.9.6-r1, the following message was displayed:

Due to a change in the splash protocol you will have to rebuild
all initrds created with splashutils < 1.1.9. This can be done
with the splash_geninitramsfs script.

However, I have been unable to find the splash_geninitramsfs script; no trace of
it on
Google either.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge splashutils
2.updatedb
3.locate splash_geninitramsfs

Actual Results:
The script could not be found on the machine.

Expected Results:
The script "splash_geninitramsfs" should have been found.

I will post this information later; I am currently at work... :)

Are you sure it's not there -- /usr/bin/splash_geninitramfs?
If you are, please attach /var/db/pkg/media-gfx/splashutils-1.1.9.6-r1/CONTENTS.

Ah.. I can see the problem now. There was a typo in the ebuild info messages.
The script is called splash_geninitramfs, no splash_geninitramsfs. The ebuild
has just been fixed.
