when i tried to emerge app-office/krita-1.4.0 the following error occured:

config.pl: fast created 93 file(s).
config.status: creating config.h
config.status: executing depfiles commands

LittleCMS is missing, Krita will not be built.

If you want to compile Krita you should install:
  * lcms 1.12 or newer (http://www.littlecms.com/)
[...]

after upgrading to latest version of media-libs/lcms, krita emerged fine.
