Please test gentoo-sources-2.6.12 on your architectures and mark it ~arch or report problems to myself. Please make sure you are using udev-058 or newer as well (you'll need to go into ~arch for that).
Works for me on ~amd64
added ~ppc64
~amd64
~ppc, udev 056 is fine too
ppc32 made by morfic.
2.6.12 (gentoo patches): ~ppc udev56 2.6.12-rc5 (pegasos patches): ~ppc udev45 Don't think the version of udev is as important On x86 2.6.12 is comepltly broke, tried with udev56/58
Please file a separate bug for x86 problems. udev-058 is required for custom rules to take effect with 2.6.12, see the udev release notes.
gentoo-sources-2.6.12-r2 works for me on ~x86 (udev58)
not going to happen for alpha. everything after 2.6.11 is broken for alpha smp at the moment (and 2.6.11 doesn't build without a patch, lovely, isn't it?)
Alpha: Ok, could you please make sure that it's been reported upstream, either on the linux-alpha mailing list (if there is one..?) or at http://bugzilla.kernel.org IA64.. Bump ;)
(In reply to comment #10) > Alpha: Ok, could you please make sure that it's been reported upstream, either > on the linux-alpha mailing list (if there is one..?) or at > http://bugzilla.kernel.org I've talked with Richard Henderson about the problem personally. Upstream is aware > IA64.. Bump ;) working on it
Works for me on ~x86 with udev 060
Thanks, all done. Please let me know when an alpha fix is available.
