So do it already :-)

------- Comment #2 From Ali Sabil 2005-06-15 04:48:52 0000 -------
it would be nice if this ebuild was availibe soon, i tried to make one myself,
but the pand3d build system is too complex for me :s

Yah, sorry, kinda got a little pre-occupied. Let me go ahead and get this
going.

------- Comment #4 From Chris White (RETIRED) 2005-06-17 16:10:26 0000 -------
The license needs review. It seemed to obtain some questionable sections in
it. More details to come.

------- Comment #5 From Ali Sabil 2005-06-18 06:15:22 0000 -------
i've read the license, it says that it should be displayed before download, i
don't know how to achieve this ?
otherwise i don't see any problem with the license, except the fact that all
modifications to the source code must be forwarded to
panda3d-owner@yahoogroups.com !!! does this forbit panda3d from being included
in the portage ?

------- Comment #6 From Chris White (RETIRED) 2005-06-20 19:05:18 0000 -------
Ok, I ok the license from the feedback I've recieved.

Now on to the next few steps :P

------- Comment #7 From Chris White (RETIRED) 2005-06-20 20:02:06 0000 -------
Ok... so like..

This isn't going to be soon.

I'm pretty much going to have to rewrite almost the whole build system before
this thing can play nice with portage.

That said.. this may take while...

------- Comment #8 From Ali Sabil 2005-06-21 13:43:30 0000 -------
I think the mk build system is easier to implement than the pp build system ...
Good luck ^_^

------- Comment #9 From Chris White (RETIRED) 2005-06-23 23:11:58 0000 -------
