Description:   Opened: 2005-06-10 03:40 0000 
When installing drbd-0.7.10 it also pulls in heartbeat as a required runtime
dependency.

I feel this would be nicer to be an optional part as you may want to use some
other application for IP Take over and running scripts when the master goes
off-line.

for example, ucarp or keepalived etc.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge -av drbd


Actual Results:  
The following would be installed if we continue:

[ebuild  N    ] net-libs/libnet-1.1.2.1  -doc 997 kB
[ebuild  N    ] sys-cluster/heartbeat-1.2.3  -debug -ldirectord 1,730 kB
[ebuild  N    ] sys-cluster/drbd-0.7.10  270 kB

Expected Results:  
just the installation of drbd.

you are right, now drbd is not so heartbeat dependent.
