I think the script in Bug 20085 (http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20085) and the one that was in openvpn-2.o-rc1 was better than the current one because it searched for configurations within folders within /etc/openvpn. This is good because each configuration sometimes needs its own files such as a .pem file and it is good to keep related things together. The init.d script with openvpn-2.0 just scans for *.conf in /etc/openvpn. This means having to add extra paths in the .conf files or rename generic files into configuration specific names. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
I meant to say that the script with openvpn-2.0_rc6 was better than the one in openvpn-2.0 regarding configuration folders.
Please, not yet another flamewar... You can easily tweak it yourself as needed.
i'll update the init script tomorrow. i already considered this on my own but havnt had time to do this. thanks for reminding me.
hmm, i dont know if that's me or something else....
2.0-r1 now uses the "older" initscript again. i've also improved it, see bug #92369 for details.
