There is a new version of Skype available. In this version the d-bus library has been compiled right into Skype binary, thus lowering dependency on d-bus. In addition the d-bus config file as well as a callto wrapperscript have been added to the Skype tarball. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
Created attachment 59894 [details, diff] Patch from skype-1.1.0.3-r1 to skype-1.1.0.13 Here a patch to the current ebuild (skype-1.1.0.3-r1 to skype-1.1.0.13) I have not yet tested the API features nor the callto wrapper script.
Can someone from the amd64 give a look at this, having dbus inside skype makes me feal that it is going to break something there.
if dbus is statically linked to skype there should be no problem with it, otherwise it may conflict with emul-linux-x86-baselibs
In portage for the last 24 hours. Thanks for the input Bruno.
