As some one who just landed on gentoo.org with a eye to leaveing behind the mess Mandrake makes of installing things from source files, and switching to gentoo.  I have a question that must already be answered some place but I can't find it.

What packages are already avaliable?  For example, I want to know if gentoo has already ported the very painful to build gnuchash 1.6.x (Double Entery Accounting) program.  

Is there any thing harder to build that gnuchash?
