Description Francois Meehan 2002-10-18 21:10:44 UTC
Hi dear Gentoo gurus!

The HTB patch does not seem to work, have seen other Gentoo users reporting the
same.

Got all Qos option enabled (not as modules!) in the kernel gentoo-sources
2.4.19-r9, when running the following command:
tc qdisc add root dev eth0 handle 1: htb default 12

I get:

> RTNETLINK answers: Invalid argument

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Francois

Found that if I replace the executable /usr/sbin/tc with the one I got from:
http://luxik.cdi.cz/~devik/qos/htb/v2/tc.gz, it is working, so it seems that
the iproute package might need some tweaking, I will be doing more tests...

Thanks

Francois

Daniel forwarded your e-mail to me about this... Sorry I've been ignoring this
bug, as you guessed, been quite busy... I'm looking for an upgraded version of
iproute.

try iproute-20010824-r2 which is currently masked in the unstable profile, it
should work just dandyfine.
