Description:   Opened: 2005-05-08 19:12 0000
grub 0.97 has been released. i'm testing the current patchset against it in a
moment. one thing that's been fixed in this release is GCC 4.0 support.

grub-0.97.ebuild

removed warnings and GCC4 patch as both issues are fixed in this version.
bumped required automake to 1.9.4 as per changelog. builds on gcc 3.3.6,
3.4.3, and 4.0.0.

------- Comment #4 From Peter Volkov 2005-05-12 05:57:35 0000 -------
This ebuild is working for me too.

BTW. I've reported about fix for savedefault feature for 0.96 long time ago. There are similar bugs also (http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90342) with the same fix. Does anybody knows why patch is not in portage? And yes in 0.97 savedefault is working as should.

------- Comment #5 From Ryan Hill 2005-05-12 13:31:34 0000 -------
you mean in 0.97 savedefault works as it should with or without that patch?

------- Comment #6 From Canal Vorfeed 2005-05-17 03:38:18 0000 -------
savedefault patch was pulled from official grub CVS so it's in grub 0.97...

------- Comment #7 From Ryan Hill 2005-06-11 21:40:56 0000 -------
ping.

is rob off in london again?

------- Comment #8 From Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) 2005-06-13 04:54:59 0000 -------
I do not know where robmoss is, but he's been missing forever. Please consider
him absent, as far as grub bugs go (looking for a replacement maintainer).

------- Comment #9 From Ryan Hill 2005-06-13 17:22:27 0000 -------
hi seemant. can we assign rob's bug to a herd until a new maintainer is found?
i'm worried they'll slip through the cracks otherwise. i'm ccing you directly
since vapier seems to disagree this belongs to base. hope that's okay.

------- Comment #10 From Ryan Hill 2005-06-21 18:55:58 0000 -------
Reassigning to maintainer-needed@gentoo.org

------- Comment #11 From Maurice van der Pot 2005-06-29 10:49:50 0000 -------
Mass reassign of bugs on orphaned packages to appropriate assignee.

------- Comment #12 From SpanKY 2005-06-29 20:57:01 0000 -------
seemant was mistaken about robmoss being missing forever

he showed up somewhat recently and started working on grub again

------- Comment #13 From Ryan Hill 2005-07-02 19:51:59 0000 -------
dirtyepic !seen robmoss
GenBot robmoss was last seen 31 weeks, 5 days, 4 hours, 3 minutes and 25 seconds
ago, saying '-bash: syntax error near unexpected token `)'' in #gentoo-dev.

=/

------- Comment #14 From SpanKY 2005-08-19 17:02:55 0000 -------
now in portage, thanks
