Description:   Opened: 2005-05-04 02:18 0000
A new rewritten kuroo is released.
Tested thourougly with betas and rc's. (Hopefully)

Highlights:
Packages files content in settings are now sorted alfabetically.
Update etc-files with external diff frontend like Kompare or Kdiff3 (etc-update) with warnings.
Full emerge log with emerge duration (time) based on output from genlop.
Emerge time approximation which is an average based from entries in the emerge log.
Package dependency check using equery.
Threads are faster with higher priority.
New backup directory /tmp/kuroo/backup.

ebuild for kuroo-0.60.0

------- Comment #2 From Jannick Kuhr 2005-05-08 02:47:13 0000 -------
In the last few weeks I have used kuroo (since rc1) for all system updates and
for installing new programs. For me it works without any problems. No crashes,
no strange behaviour.

------- Comment #3 From Marcus D. Hanwell 2005-05-10 09:37:33 0000 -------
Please provide a diff to the latest ebuild in portage - it is easier to see
what has changed. I have added the updated version to portage, thanks.

------- Comment #4 From Karim 2005-05-10 12:12:19 0000 -------
Great :-)
How can kuroo get up from hard masked state?

> How can kuroo get up from hard masked state?

Here's my opinion: since kuroo has to run as root and touches all portage configuration files, we should wait some time to see if 0.60 is totally safe. I suggest to open a new bug a few weeks from now requesting the unmasking, then collect some "works for me (or not)" from users as in comment #2 (thanks Jannick for that), and then kuroo can be unmasked.

------- Comment #6 From Karim 2005-05-10 13:25:06 0000 -------
Thanks for the clarification.
