Description paul 2005-04-30 03:48:07 UTC
(this is for openldap 2.2.24) If one takes the suggested path from /etc/conf.d/slapd to the socket for ldapi, applications (heimdal) using the ldapi:/// syntax to let the library figure out the path (the default path compiled in) things will brake. ldapi:/// defaults to LDAP_RUNDIR/run/ldapi i.e /var/lib/run/ldapi.

Solutions (mutually exclusive ;)
1. Change the path in /etc/conf.d/slapd and create /var/lib/run in src_install.
2. Patch openldap to use the path in /etc/conf.d/slapd

Reproducible: Always
