I have emerged kdebase-meta and in a lot of khelpcenter pages i have info about not installed docs. I searched source of kdebase-3.4.0, and ie. user's guide is there but isn't installed with any of splitted ebuilds. Also lack of help for kioslaves, kinfocenter so there is problem with many applications. Problem is that documentation often is in different locations than specific application, so maybe that's why it's not installed. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.emerge kdebase-meta 2. 3. Actual Results: no some(!) of documentation Expected Results: installed all present documentation for applications
Of course you *do* have the "doc" use flag on, right?
I have "doc" flag in USE variable... some examples of "doc" flag in separate ebuilds. emerge khelpcenter -vp [ebuild R ] kde-base/khelpcenter-3.4.0 +arts -debug +java -kdeenablefinal -kdexdeltas +xinerama 0 kB emerge kcontrol -vp [ebuild R ] kde-base/kcontrol-3.4.0 +arts -debug -ieee1394 +java -kdeenablefinal -kdexdeltas -logitech-mouse +opengl +ssl +xinerama 0 kB emerge kdebase-kioslaves -vp [ebuild R ] kde-base/kdebase-kioslaves-3.4.0 +arts -debug -hal +java -kdeenablefinal -kdexdeltas -ldap +samba +xinerama 0 kB hmm... where? i can't see :)
anything can be done with this? recently i compiled kde-3.4.1 and still no KDE Start Guide, FAQ, KDE's User Guide (these are in khelpcenter Welcome to KDE chapter) and so on...
These problems should be solved now in khelpcenter and kcontrol, please report if you find more (in particular, I don't see missing documentation for kioslaves).
