the automatically installed '/etc/logrotate.conf', notes:

# no packages own lastlog or wtmp -- we'll rotate them here

but then there's only a section to rotate wtmp. The part about lastlog must be missing.

I'm taking over maintainership of logrotate.

I've added a commented out lastlog rotating rule to logrotate.conf.  On most
machines, lastlog should not be big, because it's size is based on the number
of users who log in, not on time.
