mbuffer is a raplacement for buffer with additional functionality:

    * display of I/O speed
    * optional use of memory mapped I/O for huge buffers
    * multithreaded instead of sharedmemory ipc
    * multi volume support
    * autoloader support
    * networking support
    * compatible command-line options 


Latest version in portage is: sys-block/mbuffer-20011008

latest version available from the author[1] is: mbuffer-20050125

~amd64 is a missing keyword.

compiles and seems to work.

sugestion:
bump version and add ~amd64 to keywords.

new version needed a lot more lovin than a rename, so i fixed it up and added
to portage
