Description:   Opened: 2005-03-20 11:47 0000
When I play a .mov file in totem, there is no problem until the end of the file
is played, then the memory, swap and cpu usage goes to 100%, sometimes I even
have no time to kill the process so my system hangs up.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
play a .mov under totem 1.0 (gnome 2.10),

Actual Results:
the memory, swap and cpu usage goes up to 100%, mi system hangs up

Expected Results:
stop playing the file

I installed gnome 2.10 putting it on package.unmask, i have 256 mb of ram, 512
of swap, and a athlon xp 2200, i didnt have this problem under gnome 2.8

Sorry for delay.

I can reproduce the problem, however
gst-launch-0.8 playbin uri=file:///home/zaheer/gates.mov does not reproduce this problem. So I am submitting a bug upstream with totem.

Thanks

------- Comment #7 From Zaheer Abbas Merali (RETIRED) 2005-04-15 01:30:03 0000 -------
As pointed out in the upstream bug, this is a bug in ffmpeg (in this case
gst-plugins-ffmpeg) and has been fixed/worked around for the 0.8.5 release of
gst-plugins-ffmpeg.

------- Comment #8 From Zaheer Abbas Merali (RETIRED) 2005-04-28 16:47:27 0000 -------
ok extracted the patch that fixes it and its in gst-plugins-ffmpeg-0.8.4-r1
