Ditto here, 6 failed. Attaching mine. I'd been waiting a long time to see some
progress here, and nothing. Now, this version is the only one in portage.

remove that hardware designation.

done

------- Comment #7 From Paul Mogren 2005-11-17 18:56:14 0000 -------
Attila, if you're interested, here's what I did to get around the issue (which
has been forced now that the offending version 1.5.1 is the only one in
portage... I could not emerge -Du world without disabling maketest... that
defeats the purpose, no?) It assumes you have a previous version of opensp
already installed.

1) Mask app-text/opensp-1.5.1
2) Copy the old ebuild from /var/db/pkg/ to the portage overlay dir
3) Go back to being oblivious to the existence of this package, including not
watching this bug anymore. Bye.

------- Comment #8 From Attila Stehr 2005-11-18 01:39:37 0000 -------
Paul, thank you for this workaround! ;-)

Well I somewhen emerged 1.5.1 with maketest disabled. And I have no prior
version on my machine :-\

I hope this bug WILL BE FIXED somewhen.

------- Comment #9 From Michal Suchanek 2006-02-01 05:49:15 0000 -------
I also get 6 failures, and opensp was already installed. So the workaround does
not work for me.

opensp-1.5.2.ebuild

Having the same problem here with opensp-1.5.2. Non-working tests are worse
than no test at all. Please find above an ebuild that deactivates them.

What it does is add the following to the ebuild :

src_test () {
        # See bug #85277
        true
}

Could this be a good (temporary or not) solution ?

Denis.

------- Comment #14 From Dustin Polke 2006-07-10 06:05:03 0000 -------
I ran into same error, 6 tests failed.

I googled for this problem and it seems that the failure of 6 tests is at the
moment normal (see
http://www.nabble.com/OpenSP-1.5.2pre1-Released-t635664.html)

Work-around is to use 'make check SHOWSTOPPERS='
which excludes tests that always fail. Strange though that they activate tests
that are known to fail always...

I attach new ebuild for 1.5.1 which solved the issue for me.

Dustin

ebuild for opensp-1.5.1 that disables always failing tests

------- Comment #16 From Carlos Maldonado 2006-09-15 11:45:49 0000 -------
opensp version 1.5.2 compiles and works ok on AMD64 at least, which is what I
have available to test with

I think portage should be changed to mask that package to that version, that's
what I did and I was able to emerge world after that

opensp-1.5.2-r1 includes the SHOWSTOPPERS= line, so tests should now pass. If
they still don't feel free to reopen.

All 17 tests passed

Thanks for fixing! :)
