Description Carsten Lohrke (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-05 07:46:46 UTC
Reasons: expecially Bug 84004, next KOffice version,...
Comment 1 Joe Jezak (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-05 18:09:23 UTC
Marked 3.3.1 ~ppc, but we haven't yet marked any of kde 3.4 ~ppc yet, so I think we should wait on that. I'll leave ppc cc'd if anyone else wants to take a look at it.

Marked 3.3.1 ~amd64, it works fine with the examples on the web site. The 3.4 rc1 should DEPEND on kwin or kdebase shouldn't it?

I have tested the 3.4 version and am getting an error for one of the examples which works fine with the 3.3.1 version. This was just taken from the examples page of the website, and looking at the script I think the error is in kjsembed.

marcus@cryos ~/gentoo $ kjscmd ../xmlgui.js
xmlgui: WARNING: addBindingsClass() KJSEmbed::KJSEmbedPart not known
xmlgui: WARNING: addBindingsClass() KJSEmbed::Bindings::Config not known
xmlgui: WARNING: addBindingsClass() KApplication not known
Uncaught TypeError exception at: -2147483648
Undefined value

Can anyone cnofirm this error?

~sparc'd.
Comment 4 Marcus D. Hanwell (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-13 06:11:56 UTC
I have reproduced the error on two systems now, one using the monolithic ebuilds and the other using the split ebuilds. I have opened a bug upstream on this issue, please see http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101424

It seems to be something introduced with the 3.4 branch as the 3.3 branch does not produce this error for me.

kjsembed-3.4 had a incorrect deprange statement, but that has been fixed. Added some voting points to your bug.
