In eg. apache2, i recently noticed that /etc/apache2/httpd.conf has filetype apache with nice syntax highlighting. Files in /etc/apache2/modules.d/ should be detected as filetype apache aswell. I created "vimfiles/ftdetect/gentoo_specific.vim" that works for me. My guess is that there is more packages, where gentoo standard differs from what generic vim recognizes as standard, and they should also be added to this file.
Created attachment 52305 [details] gentoo_specific.vim
Created attachment 52417 [details] gentoo_specific.vim added apache2/vhosts.d/*.conf and bash_completion files

I'm trying to get this kind of thing included upstream as far as possible.
Should be fixed in 6.3.068.
