Description Andrea Barisani (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-02-21 00:43:11 UTC
GNU screen can be built with the optional --enable-telnet flag
that enables a builtin telnet client that could be used with
'screen //telnet hostname portnum'.

I would like to have this setting available, maybe optionally
with a USE flag.

Reproducible: Always

The attached patch enables the //telnet stuff.
This is unconditionally (no USE flags involved), otherwise
we also have to patch the documentation.
If we don't do so, we have an documentation bug (man screen).
