Marcelo G
Marcelo Góes (Vanquirius marcelogoes@gmail.com) as put it far too many bugs to be left on the sidelines of developership. Marcelo has consistently placed bugs with tested solutions and patches where appropriate. Marcelo's contribution to documention is also great (not that I can read a word of it but it looks good). Please let me stop commiting Marcelo's work and let Marcelo commit:-) I'm going to act as Marcelo's mentor on behalf of netmon and Enderson on behalf of docs-team.

I've received Marcelo's ebuild quiz, and replied with feedback on that. Good luck with your end quiz Marco. If you can, catch me on IRC sometime before this bug is due. Thanks.
I've reviewed Marcelo's end quiz and replied with feedback. Please contact me on IRC when you can. Thanks.
Marcelo and I eventually managed to convene on IRC. Done: o Set up email/dev o Set up CVS o New bugzilla login o Added to roll-call Needs: o #gentoo-dev @ops o gentoo-core subscription o introduction
- done gentoo-core - done #gentoo-dev
intro done.
That's it then, welcome aboard Marcelo. Thanks to Jochen and Daniel for their help, cheers guys.
Cool :-). I would like to thank everyone for their immense support! I hope I can help make Gentoo even better.
Dear Marcelo, Possible retirement pending as you haven't shown any activity in the past two months. - Last (viewable) bugzilla activity: 184973: 2007-09-01 19:27:09 - Last CVS activity: Mon Sep 3 01:05:24 UTC 2007 If you are just away, then please use the devaway system. Please be advised that devaway may also be considered inactive if it extends past 60 days. Please reply and advise on your situation. Any developer found to be inactive for a period in excess of 60 days is subject to be retired. Please be aware that if we have not heard from you within 2 weeks time, we will begin the retirement process. If we do retire you, it's pretty easy to come back when you are ready. Just do the ebuild/end-quiz again and you're back on.
As Marcelo explained via email, he's currently having issues with his development box. Closing therefore.

Second mail sent today.
Okay. I've got a response from Marcelo. He's getting his computer up and running and will be back in the game very soon. This one is closed.

Marcelo will get a different job assigment in the coming days which will allow him to contribute to Gentoo on a more regular basis. Bug closed.
I may not be a dev, but as the discussion I had with the devs on #gentoo-desktop shows, the subject of this bug has been on devaway since 2009/03/08 22:53Z and had just a (literally) couple commits to the tree this year. Also, there's no activity from him in the bugs assigned to him (at least according to this query https://bugs.gentoo.org/buglist.cgi?emailtype2=exact;list_id=554023;resolution=---;resolution=FIXED;resolution=INVALID;resolution=WONTFIX;resolution=LATER;resolution=REMIND;resolution=DUPLICATE;resolution=WORKSFORME;resolution=CANTFIX;resolution=NEEDINFO;resolution=TEST-REQUEST;resolution=UPSTREAM;resolution=OBSOLETE;emailtype1=exact;chfieldto=Now;emailassigned_to1=1;query_format=advanced;chfieldfrom=1y;email2=vanquirius%40gentoo.org;email1=vanquirius%40gentoo.org;emaillongdesc2=1) Therefore I'm strongly convinced that this bug should be reopened.
bug 360409, bug 310857, bug 317713 were his last actions. Maybe he needs to step it up a bit.
