Please try sci-mathematics/snns with python in USE on PPC (especially try to run the python-examples provided)
It compiles and installs correctly, and seems to work okay, only one of the python examples complete succesfully. I'll mark it ~ppc, but it probably shouldn't be brought into ppc yet. Reopen the bug if you'd like me to test it more.
I'd like to know the output of the failed examples - are you sure it's not just missing files? (you need to copy some example networks/patterns from the main examples directory to your current directory to run some of these scripts).
After copying over the required files (sorry!): Output from customtest.py: Builtin functions: 281 After adding: 286 Function number 279 Info: ('LinearScale', 12) Function number 280 Info: ('Norm', 12) Function number 281 Info: ('Threshold', 12) Function number 282 Info: ('acttest', 0) Function number 283 Info: ('outtestfunc', 0) Function number 284 Info: ('outtestfunc2', 0) Function number 285 Info: ('acttest', 0) Function number 286 Info: ('acttest', 0) encoder Unhandled Python function type Unhandled Python function type Unhandled Python function type Unhandled Python function type Unhandled Python function type Unhandled Python function type Unhandled Python function type Unhandled Python function type Unhandled Python function type Unhandled Python function type Unhandled Python function type Unhandled Python function type Unhandled Python function type Unhandled Python function type Unhandled Python function type Learning one pattern Illegal instruction encoder.py seems to work fine. general.py seems to work fine. som_cube_winners.py seems to work fine.
whoopsie, that doesn't look good. I'm afraid I will need some time and access to a PPC box to check this. I think I remember there was some box I could use for testing - could you please give me a hint where to look it up?
