The Gentoo lpe ebuild is missing several useful fixes.  The upstream lpe source
is now maintained by the Debian maintainer; the above URL links to the latest
version.

Here's an ebuild for it.  The SRC_URI has hard-coded the version number, as
${P} uses a hyphen, not an underscore.

I can't find any notes of a new version on it's homepage. Am I missing
anything?

There's an entry in the changelog for version 1.2.6.10:
* Changed to Debian source since upstream is not maintaining lpe anymore.

The Debian release contains useful bugfixes, and I would like to see the Gentoo version contain those as well.
